The path forward for Allberry will require genuine repentance, restoration within proper church structures, and time away from public ministry. The Christian community’s response should balance truth-telling about sin with hope for redemption, neither excusing wrongdoing nor abandoning a fallen brother.

As believers process this news, the focus must remain on Christ, who alone is the perfect shepherd. Human teachers will disappoint, but God’s Word stands forever. The biblical call to sexual purity and faithfulness remains unchanged, and those struggling with same-sex attraction still need the hope of the gospel and the support of the church.
