Mother’s Heartfelt Plea at White House Gathering
In a poignant moment that underscores the importance of faith, family, and the defense of American freedoms, Patty Morin, a devout Christian mother, stood at the White House to share the harrowing story of her daughter Rachel’s tragic death. Rachel was brutally raped and murdered by an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, a crime that has become a stark symbol of the consequences of unrestrained illegal immigration under the current administration.
“This is probably going to be one of the highlights of my life, being able to be a part of a prayer meeting at the White House, because there’s no greater God than the one that we serve,” Patty Morin prayed, her faith unshaken even in the face of unimaginable loss. Her words resonated deeply with those who value the role of divine providence in guiding and protecting our nation.
Morin’s prayer was a call to action for the faithful, asking God to “push back at the enemy and cause confusion in their camp.” Her words reflect a profound belief in the power of prayer to combat the evils that threaten our society, a sentiment that echoes the values of many Americans who hold their faith close.
Before a silent press room, Morin recounted the brutal details of her daughter’s murder, a crime committed by Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, an illegal immigrant who crossed the border during the Biden administration’s tenure. The jury, in a swift decision, found him guilty of first-degree murder, rape, and other heinous crimes.
“This person took my daughter so violently and so gruesomely and so graphically that they sealed the pictures because I don’t want my granddaughters to see these pictures,” Morin said, her voice filled with a mother’s pain and a patriot’s resolve. Her call for truth was a plea for honesty in reporting the realities of violence linked to illegal immigration.
“Please tell the truth,” she urged. “It’s about national security. It’s about protecting Americans. It’s about protecting our children.” Her words serve as a reminder of the fundamental duty to safeguard our nation’s citizens, a responsibility that transcends politics and speaks to the heart of American values.
In a touching moment of solidarity, President Donald Trump embraced Morin, offering comfort and acknowledging her strength. “Your daughter is looking down proud of you, you know that,” he assured her, reinforcing the belief that those we lose remain with us in spirit.
This incident serves as a clarion call for those who cherish faith, family, and freedom. It is a reminder of the importance of upholding traditional values and the need for policies that protect our citizens from harm. As we reflect on Morin’s story, let us be guided by our faith and our commitment to a safer, more secure America.

Finding God’s Wisdom in Life’s Roses Buds and Thorns
Faith Facts
- The rose, bud, and thorn reflection invites believers to examine life through a biblical lens of gratitude, hope, and endurance.
- Scripture calls Christians to give thanks in all circumstances and to trust God’s timing for future blessings.
- Recognizing both blessings and challenges strengthens faith and deepens dependence on the Lord.
Christians are often encouraged to pause and take stock of their spiritual journey. One simple yet powerful way is to consider the roses, buds, and thorns in daily life.
The rose represents what is deeply pleasing right now—the answered prayers, the joy of family, and the peace that comes from walking with Christ. These moments remind believers of God’s faithful provision.
The bud symbolizes opportunities and growth still waiting to unfold. Whether it is a new ministry, a restored relationship, or a door opening in unexpected ways, the bud points to God’s ongoing work.
The thorn speaks of present difficulties and trials. Pain, uncertainty, and spiritual warfare are part of the Christian walk, yet Scripture assures that God uses even thorns to shape character and draw hearts closer to Him.
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Reflecting on roses, buds, and thorns helps believers maintain an eternal perspective. Gratitude for today’s blessings fuels hope for tomorrow’s promises and strengthens perseverance through present trials.

Paranormal Claims Often Mask Deeper Spiritual Dangers
Faith Facts
- Scripture warns believers to test every spirit and hold fast to what is good.
- The Bible teaches that Satan can appear as an angel of light, making discernment essential for Christians.
- Faith in Christ provides protection against deceptive spiritual forces that seek to mislead people.
Most paranormal television programs rely on sensational editing and unverified claims rather than solid evidence. Many viewers tune in for entertainment while overlooking the spiritual risks involved.
Yet some reported encounters reflect real spiritual activity that goes beyond tricks of the camera. The greater concern lies not in seeing something unusual but in failing to recognize the true source behind it.
Christians are called to exercise spiritual discernment rather than curiosity when facing reports of the supernatural. Without biblical grounding, people can be drawn into practices that Scripture clearly condemns.
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.”
Traditional Christian teaching emphasizes that the real battle is not against ghosts or haunted houses but against principalities and powers described in Ephesians 6. Entertainment often trivializes these realities and leaves audiences spiritually unprepared.

- Ministers emphasized the importance of rest, spiritual renewal, and unity in Christ across cultural lines.
Church of Christ families serving in Spanish-speaking ministries recently enjoyed a much-needed time of rest and renewal at the Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park resort in Grapevine, Texas.
Thanks to a Lilly Endowment grant administered through Herald of Truth’s MESA ministry, 41 adults and 29 children from nine states received free lodging, meals, and access to water slides and other attractions during fall break.
“We’re here to give you a blessing and help you continue to bless others, as you do every day.”
Chase Turner, president and CEO of Herald of Truth, extended the invitation to families like the Rojos from Springdale, Arkansas, who typically could not afford such a vacation.
“We’re preaching Jesus, we’re preaching Christ crucified and resurrected, and we’re really more united than we are divided.”
Minister J.P. Flores of Phoenix noted the retreat strengthened bonds among believers who may differ on secondary matters yet remain united in the gospel.
Lenin Munguia of Richardson, Texas, described the gathering as a timely opportunity to refresh and connect with fellow ministers amid cultural and political pressures.
Crystal Reyes of Wilmington, Delaware, said the experience reminded her and her husband to invest in their own mental and spiritual health so they can serve more effectively.
Participants also attended sessions on prayer, spiritual renewal, and silence and solitude, while singing hymns together in both Spanish and English.
Alonzo Rojo prayed that the lessons learned would not remain at the lodge but would strengthen daily walks with the Lord and grow ministries across the nation.
