Five believers were killed and dozens wounded in Yumbe, Uganda, after a religious leader urged Muslims to rise against Christians over the sale of pork near a mosque.

The attack targeted Christian-owned shops and homes, and left Christian communities in fear amidst calls for peace and security rooted in their faith.

“We shall not abandon our homes or our churches. We are praying for peace, but we also demand justice for those killed and injured of Christian brothers and sisters.”
