Australia has reportedly stepped back from a British-led coalition of twelve Western nations that had planned to impose trade restrictions on Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reports that Canberra decided not to join the coordinated effort, distancing itself from the proposed sanctions.

“Australia has no plans to participate in any coordinated international sanctions regime targeting Israeli settlements,” a senior Australian official told ABC.

Supporters of Israel welcomed the decision, arguing that singling out Jewish communities in their ancestral homeland undermines both biblical and historical ties to the land.

Critics of the coalition say such measures amount to economic warfare against families living in areas that Scripture identifies as the cradle of Jewish civilization.

“The land belongs to the Jewish people by divine promise and international recognition dating back to the San Remo Conference,” one pro-Israel advocate stated.

Christian conservatives in the United States have long maintained that standing with Israel includes defending its right to build in the very regions where the patriarchs lived and where the Bible records God’s covenant promises.

The state of Odisha has refused to release Rabindra Kumar Pal, also known as Dara Singh, from his life sentence for the brutal 1999 murders of Australian missionary Graham Staines and his two young sons.

The attack took place in the village of Manoharpur, where Staines and his boys were burned alive while sleeping in their vehicle.

Authorities determined that the crime was driven by religious hatred and that the killer showed no remorse warranting mercy.

“The crime committed was heinous in nature and the convict has not shown any remorse,” the state government stated in its decision.

Christian leaders have long called for justice in the case, noting that the murders targeted men of faith who were serving the poor.

The ruling affirms that religious violence will not be excused or minimized in India’s eastern state.
