Should Faithful Americans Prepare for National Emergencies

Published

on

Faith Facts

  • Scripture teaches wise stewardship of resources in times of uncertainty.
  • Joseph stored grain for seven years of plenty to prepare for seven years of famine.
  • Proverbs 22:3 commends the prudent who foresee danger and take refuge.

Warnings about war, cyberattacks, and climate disruptions have moved the conversation about emergency preparedness beyond fringe circles. Government officials now encourage households to maintain basic supplies of non-perishable food, water, and medicine. Christian families are asking what the Bible actually teaches about readiness and trust in God.

The Bible does not present preparation and faith as opposites. Instead, it offers examples of God-honoring foresight. Joseph followed God’s direction to store grain during years of abundance, saving countless lives when famine struck. His actions demonstrated both trust in the Lord and responsibility toward others.

“The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.”

Proverbs 22:3 presents foresight as wisdom, not fear. Christian households can apply this principle by maintaining modest reserves without abandoning reliance on God’s provision. Preparation becomes an act of love for family and neighbors who may need help in a crisis.

Emergency planning also reflects love of country. A prepared citizenry strengthens communities when systems are strained. Churches that encourage practical readiness serve both their members and the wider society.

Scripture balances preparation with contentment. Jesus warned against anxious hoarding in Matthew 6, yet He also praised the servant who used talents wisely. The difference lies in motive: fear-driven accumulation versus faithful stewardship.

“For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?”

Jesus used the builder’s example to teach thoughtful planning. Christian families can apply the same principle by assessing genuine needs, setting reasonable limits, and avoiding excess. Moderation keeps preparation from becoming idolatry of security.

Local congregations are well positioned to coordinate community response. Many already maintain food pantries and disaster-relief teams. These ministries multiply the impact of individual households that have prepared in advance.

Ultimately, Scripture calls believers to trust God while exercising prudent responsibility. Stockpiling a few weeks of supplies need not signal panic. It can reflect the same wisdom Joseph displayed when he stored grain for the sake of many.

Christians Turning to Islam Reveal Deeper Church Failures

Published

on

Faith Facts

  • Many Christians who abandon the faith cite a lack of spiritual depth in their churches rather than external cultural pressure.
  • A former Muslim who converted to Christianity now warns that blaming converts for leaving only hides the need for genuine repentance within the Church.
  • True renewal begins when the Church focuses on internal repentance and spiritual vitality rather than external political fights.

Christians who leave the faith for Islam often face the quick judgment that they were never truly saved. Yet a former Muslim now serving as a Christian apologist says that easy dismissal misses the real problem.

The Church, he argues, must look inward before pointing outward. When believers drift toward another religion, the first question should not be about the convert’s sincerity but about the spiritual health of the congregations they left behind.

“When Christians leave the faith for Islam, it’s tempting to say they were never truly believers.”

That statement, while common, allows churches to avoid uncomfortable self-examination. The former Muslim insists the more painful and necessary response is for congregations to ask why their teaching, worship, and community failed to hold fast to those now walking away.

Political activism and culture-war victories cannot substitute for the hard work of repentance and renewal inside the body of Christ. The former Muslim argues that spiritual vitality, sound doctrine, and authentic discipleship are the only lasting answers to the drift toward Islam.

Without those foundations, even the strongest political arguments will ring hollow to searching hearts.

Liberty University Students Urged to Guard Their Spiritual Inheritance

Faith Facts

  • Bryce Crawford spoke at Liberty University, calling students to reject sin and embrace their God-given inheritance.
  • The influencer warned against passivity in sharing the Gospel with others.
  • Liberty University remains a leading Christian institution dedicated to biblical truth and student discipleship.

Christian influencer Bryce Crawford delivered a powerful message at Liberty University this week. He urged students not to exchange the blessings God has prepared for them in favor of fleeting pleasures found in sin. Crawford emphasized that every believer has received an inheritance far greater than anything the world can offer.

He challenged the audience to recognize the spiritual dangers of passivity. According to Crawford, many Christians remain silent about their faith out of fear or comfort, allowing opportunities to share Christ to slip away.

“Don’t take the bait,” Crawford told the students. “Don’t trade in your inheritance.”

“The enemy wants you to settle for less than what God has promised you,” he continued. “And passivity is one of his greatest tools.”

Crawford’s message resonated deeply with Liberty students who gathered to hear biblical truth delivered with clarity and conviction. His call to action reminded young believers that their faith demands both courage and daily surrender.
