Short Film Series Offers Christ-Centered Hope
Faith Facts
- The HOPE film series encourages young people to explore faith and find lasting hope in Jesus.
- Recent surveys show a rise in church attendance among Generation Z and Generation Alpha in the UK.
- Many young people remain spiritually curious but lack strong church connections, highlighting the need for resources like HOPE.
The HOPE series by Shine Films provides a free, Christian resource aimed at guiding youth to discover genuine hope in Christ amid life’s questions.
Supported by youth organizations and available on YouTube, these videos are ideal for schools, groups, and personal settings.
Research points to increasing spiritual openness among young people, but also reveals a gap in Biblical understanding and church involvement.
“This series gives them permission to wrestle with those questions, whilst clearly presenting Jesus as the one who brings real, lasting hope,” said Jenny Hamill, Creative Director at Scripture Union.
The series uses real stories and interviews to highlight how faith in Jesus meets the deepest needs for purpose and security.
As Laura Hancock from Youth for Christ notes, “Young people are looking for Jesus and waiting for someone to tell them about him.”
It is a pivotal time for churches and Christian families to engage the next generation with the truth and hope of the Gospel.
