  • SNP support among churchgoers fell from 22% to 13%.
  • ‘Don’t knows’ rose sharply from 16% to 42%.
  • Reform gained from 1% to 14% backing.

Scottish Christians increasingly feel politically homeless, abandoning parties like the SNP and Labour that dominate yet fail to champion Biblical principles of faith, family, and freedom.

A new report reveals churchgoers view the Scottish government as opposing Christian values, with 72.4% agreeing it neglects godly standards and 81.3% noting faith-based politicians face harsh criticism.

Kate Forbes endured intense scrutiny for her Christian beliefs during her 2023 SNP leadership bid, unlike her rival.

“There is a political vacuum when it comes to a values based, socially left, economically right party where constitutional issues are not the primary concern,” said Shona Haslam, chief executive of Logos Scotland.

“The Christian vote shifting to this extent, particularly in some remote rural constituencies could have a big impact.”

“Reform claiming to stand for Christian values may have helped their polling among churchgoers.”

As believers committed to a godly nation, pray for righteous leaders and engage boldly to restore faith-driven governance in Scotland’s elections.
