Christian advocates are courageously taking a stand for life, facing arrest in peaceful protest to defend children in the womb. Their faith-led actions prioritize the Biblical call to defend the innocent and uphold God-given rights.
Randall Terry of Operation Rescue emphasized that creating social tension is necessary to awaken the public to the realities of abortion. He revealed the multi-generational and multi-denominational makeup of the Rescue Resurrection team, united in their commitment to life.
“We have agreed to set aside our differences… so that we can focus like a laser beam on the unborn,” he explained.
Terrisa Bukovinac, founder of Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising, recounted that most activists were charged with trespass and disorderly conduct. She described her time in custody as difficult, but stated it pales in comparison to what unborn children face each day.
“No matter how difficult these prison circumstances are, it’s nothing compared to what the unborn are facing, which is total genocide,” Bukovinac declared.
She reaffirmed the honor and duty felt in sacrificing for those who cannot protect themselves, echoing the Christian teaching of putting others before oneself.
Randall Terry pointed out that while incarceration is challenging, history demonstrates that civil disobedience often prompts moral change and justice. He highlighted the absolute violence done to the unborn, which compels the faithful to take peaceful action.
Pro-life organizations are also training new generations in nonviolent direct action, seeking to build a culture that upholds life from conception. Efforts included counseling and offering hope to mothers at the clinic entrance, living out Christ’s love in word and deed.
