Nigerian Christian Calls for Prayer and Action

Published

on

Faith Facts

  • Tens of thousands of Christians in Nigeria have been killed for their faith, with millions more displaced in the past decade.
  • Economic hardship, environmental pressures, and government corruption contribute to ongoing violence against Christians in Nigeria.
  • Nigeria leads the world in the number of Christians killed or abducted for their faith each year.

Christian communities in Nigeria are facing severe persecution, with families uprooted and lives lost due to their unwavering faith in Christ. Economic challenges and a lack of governmental protection have worsened the situation for believers in the region.

Lanre Williams-Ayedun, a Nigerian Christian leader, highlighted the gravity of the crisis and urged believers in America to pray and shed light on this suffering. She emphasized that addressing these issues is complex and requires both spiritual and practical responses from the global Christian family.

“If you talk with Nigerians in the north of Nigeria, the thing that they ask for is prayer, because the situation is layered. They want to live in peace with their neighbors. That was the way that life had been before, and so this is an unfortunate evolution of the situation, and having prayer cover is important.”

Christian faith inspires hope amid hardship, reminding us that God’s love remains steadfast even in times of trial. As one body in Christ, Americans are called to intercede and advocate for the suffering faithful in Nigeria.

Stand with persecuted Christians through prayer and by raising awareness among your family, church, and community. Together, we can affirm that faith, family, and freedom remain the heartbeat of our Christian mission.

A Stark Rebuke of Antisemitic Claims Forces Believers to Stand Firm on Biblical Truth

Faith Facts

  • Scripture urges believers to “test everything; hold fast what is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
  • God affirms His promises to Israel are irrevocable (Romans 11:29).
  • Christians must renew minds against worldly deception (Romans 12:2).

Tucker Carlson’s podcast remarks accused Evangelical pastors of serving Israel’s government without evidence, echoing antisemitic tropes Christians must reject.

Such unfounded claims smear faithful leaders defending a key ally against terrorism, undermining Biblical truth and American interests.

“Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2).

Israel targets Hamas terrorists behind October 7 atrocities, not genocide—defending civilians amid embedded threats honors just war principles.

Hamas hides in schools and hospitals, rejecting peace while endangering lives—true evil demands moral clarity.

Carlson dismisses Israel support despite admitting theological ignorance, ignoring Romans 9–11’s covenant truths.

Gentiles grafted into Israel’s olive tree warns against arrogance toward God’s chosen people (Romans 11:18).

Christians: Exercise discernment, reject smears, uphold faith, family, freedom by supporting righteous allies like Israel.

A Troubling Shift Challenges American Faith Amid Declining Religious Ties – Hope Endures Through Prayer and Revival Potential

Faith Facts

  • Americans identifying as religious “nones” reached a record 24% in 2025, up from 21-22% recently.
  • Only 47% of adults say religion is very important, down from 70-75% in the 1950s-1960s.
  • Majorities among Republicans, Protestants, Black adults, seniors, and Southerners still hold faith central.

America’s spiritual foundation weakens as Gallup data reveals fewer than half of adults view religion as vital to daily life.

This shift, tracked through 13,000 interviews, signals a growing detachment from God’s truth amid cultural pressures.

“Americans’ relationship with religion continues to evolve, marked by fewer adults describing religion as central to their lives, rising religious non-affiliation and persistently low levels of religious service attendance,” Gallup’s Megan Brenan noted.

Younger generations drive this decline through less affiliation and attendance, replacing committed believers and reshaping our patriotic heritage rooted in Judeo-Christian values.

While personalized faith pursuits tempt many, true freedom blooms in obedience to Scripture, not syncretism or institutional escape.

As stewards of faith, family, and freedom, recommit to church, disciple youth, and vote Biblical principles to reclaim America’s godly legacy.

Biblical Revival Emerges Amid Youth Crisis – Hope Endures Through God's Eternal Word

Faith Facts

  • Bible sales driven by Gen Z seeking serenity in a volatile world of politics, economy, and social media.
  • Youth reject mindfulness, yoga, and celery juice fads as mere self-pampering, embracing deeper spirituality.
  • Common grace affirms therapy can aid believers alongside Scripture, countering false therapy-vs-faith divide.

A secular Telegraph columnist praises surging Bible sales among Gen Z, seeing it as a rejection of self-obsession for true spiritual stability.

Celia Walden notes sales doubled pre-pandemic and hit 1990s highs after a 19% rise in 2025, questioning how lost young people feel amid global turmoil.

“I noticed at the start of the year that Bible sales in Britain had more than doubled compared to pre-pandemic levels – driven, apparently, by a surge in interest from Gen Z.”

“The short answer is surely ‘very’.”

Christians must pray for the Holy Spirit to apply God’s Word, reviving Britain’s Christian heritage and saving self-obsessed youth through faith.
