The leader of a Christian advocacy group is calling the newly established nationwide school choice program the “greatest evangelism opportunity since the Billy Graham crusades” as it is projected to give millions of children across the United States access to a Christian education beginning next year.

Under the program, federal education dollars will follow eligible students to accredited schools of their parents’ choosing, including faith-based institutions that align with traditional Christian values.

Advocates say the expansion removes long-standing barriers that have kept many low-income families from accessing private Christian education.
