Married Mothers Report Greater Happiness, Study Finds
Faith Facts
- Research shows that married mothers experience more happiness and deep connection than unmarried or childless women.
- Physical affection and supportive relationships contribute to emotional well-being and a sense of purpose among married women.
- Married mothers are less likely to feel lonely, highlighting the importance of family and biblical community.
New research from the Institute of Family Studies reveals that women who are both married and mothers report higher levels of happiness and meaning in their lives compared to those who are unmarried or without children.
The study found that these women benefit from frequent physical affection, strong relational bonds, and a greater sense of purpose, underscoring the blessings of God’s design for marriage and family.
“Married women are more likely than their unmarried counterparts to report feeling deep connection and meaning in their relationships.”
Despite the everyday demands of motherhood, the presence of a loving spouse and children fosters well-being and community, reflecting Scripture’s emphasis on family and fellowship.
The study also highlights that physical touch and affectionate relationships, which are more prevalent among married women, promote emotional resilience, trust, and reduced stress—factors that align with biblical wisdom about the value of loving, committed families.
These findings remind us to champion God’s blueprint for marriage and family, supporting and uplifting mothers as pillars of faith, love, and national strength.

Edward Graham, COO of Samaritan’s Purse and grandson of Billy Graham, spoke to the people of Ukraine with a message of God’s faithful love and presence during times of hardship. He emphasized at the National Prayer Breakfast in Kyiv that ultimate peace can only be found through Jesus Christ.
“We love Ukraine because God loves the people of Ukraine,” shared Edward Graham, promising ongoing support and vital aid efforts in Jesus’ Name. He highlighted plans to rebuild churches and ministries affected by the war once peace is restored.
Drawing inspiration from the story of the thief on the cross in Luke 23, Graham reminded those suffering in Ukraine that God remembers them in their trials. He strongly encouraged everyone present to seek Christ and rely on Him for hope and strength.
Graham also prayed for a swift end to the conflict and for the transformation of Ukrainian hearts toward lasting peace through faith. He spent time with Samaritan’s Purse staff, many of whom are displaced Ukrainians, encouraging them as they help their fellow citizens amid ongoing dangers.
The ministry, working closely with partner churches, delivers food, water, stoves, and Bibles while sharing the gospel, especially with children and families through Operation Christmas Child. These efforts provide both physical relief and spiritual encouragement grounded in the love and compassion of Christ.

Is There Purpose Beyond the Everyday?
Faith Facts
- The Bible addresses life’s deepest questions, with Ecclesiastes highlighting the search for meaning.
- King Solomon, who had unrivaled wealth and power, found that worldly pursuits could not satisfy the longing for purpose.
- True meaning is discovered through a relationship with God and living according to His commandments.
At times, many find themselves questioning the purpose of life, especially during struggles or routines that feel empty. Even ancient voices in Scripture echo this universal search, showing that these questions are not new or unique to our age.
“Meaningless! Meaningless! Everything is meaningless.”
The wisdom books of the Bible, particularly Ecclesiastes, describe how even great success and pleasure cannot fill the void in the human heart. King Solomon’s honest words resonate with those who have found that achievements alone do not offer lasting fulfillment.
Solomon’s journey reminds us that God “has set eternity in the human heart” and that our desire for purpose points us to something beyond the material world. Seeking satisfaction only “under the sun” leads to emptiness, but recognizing our Creator gives life true meaning.
“Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.”
Solomon’s conclusion is rooted in humility and reverence for God. Faith teaches us that ultimate meaning comes from living for God’s glory, not our own pleasures or worldly pursuits.
Earthly experiences have their place, but lasting significance is found in surrendering to God’s will. Following Christ leads to hope, justice, and a purposeful life rooted in Biblical truth.
If you desire to find greater purpose, consider where your hope is placed—and let Scripture guide your journey of faith.
