Cramer and Hanover Church of Christ, after over a century of serving their community, gathered for their last service. The congregation reflected on their faith journey, recalling the words and teachings of Jesus as they faced this transition.
Visiting speaker Earl Mullins encouraged the believers, acknowledging the legacy and spiritual foundation that echoed through the church walls.
“Oh, if these walls could talk,” Earl Mullins said, addressing the congregation. “If we could hear the echoes of the lessons, the biblical truths preached in this place, what wonders we would hear. But the time of biblical teaching at Cramer and Hanover for this congregation is coming to an end.”
Adele Hill, with deep roots in the church, shared how her faith and cherished memories give her strength amid change.
“The Lord, he’s going to give us the strength, and he’s the way, he’s the wisdom, and I know I’ll have peace.”
As the body of Christ bids farewell to this church building, members look forward with prayerful hearts, choosing to remain steadfast in their trust in God’s providence and love, committed to seeking new ways to serve and worship together. The bond of faith endures, strengthened by gratitude for the past and hope for what the Lord has in store.
