Korean Pastors: AI Fails True Preaching

Published

on

Pastors at Korea’s Pathway Preaching Conference affirmed AI generates sermons but cannot replicate incarnational faith or Holy Spirit resonance.

Hosted by Good Shepherd Church, speakers urged discernment, viewing technology as a tool, not a substitute for embodied Christian proclamation.

Faith Facts

  • Rev. Kim Da-wi introduced “incarnational preaching” and 3E model: Encounter with God, Embodiment in life, Echo in congregation.
  • AI lacks suffering, wounds, and personal ethos essential for authentic sermons.
  • Rev. Lee Jung-gyu stressed preacher’s communal role and lived experience beyond data.

“Unless it contains real suffering, wounds and tears, it has an inherent limitation,” Rev. Kim declared.

“AI can generate a message, but it cannot say it has actually experienced that message,” Rev. Lee emphasized.

Believers must safeguard preaching as divine encounter, rejecting excarnation for biblical fidelity and spiritual vitality.
