  • Vice President JD Vance will speak at the 53rd annual March for Life rally in Washington, D.C.
  • The March for Life marks the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, which was overturned by the Supreme Court in 2022.
  • This year’s theme is “Life is a Gift,” celebrating the beauty and value of life.

Vice President JD Vance is set to deliver a speech at the nation’s largest pro-life gathering, standing alongside advocates for the unborn. The rally will take place on January 23 at the National Mall, highlighting the enduring strength of the movement.

March for Life President Jennie Bradley Lichter emphasized the impact of Vance’s participation.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Vice President Vance back to the March for Life this year.”

She stated Vance’s attendance reflects the central place of life-affirming values within a strong conservative coalition.

The event continues a tradition started in response to Roe v. Wade, with recent years seeing renewed energy following the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision allowing states to protect life in law. This year’s “Life is a Gift” theme calls participants to embrace every child with love and hope.

Jennie Bradley Lichter shared that this time is meant for faithful action.

“This is not a moment for passivity; it is time to renew, reinvigorate and march forward together.”

Vice President Vance, a proponent of family and faith, previously addressed the rally, calling on the nation to foster a culture where children are valued and parents are supported. He spoke of the need to make family life accessible and joyful for all Americans.

Vance affirmed the role of government and society in supporting families at every level.

“It should be easier to raise a family, easier to find a good job, easier to build a home to raise that family in, easier to save up and purchase a good stroller, a crib for a nursery. We need a culture that celebrates life at all stages.”

Let’s join together in prayer and action to defend life, strengthen families, and uphold biblical values in our nation.
