  • Blossom Keepsake in the UK offers jewelry created from embryos remaining after IVF treatments.
  • Pro-life advocates argue that turning embryos into keepsakes dishonors the inherent value and dignity of human life.
  • Research shows most embryos created during IVF never result in live births, with many remaining frozen or destroyed.

Blossom Keepsake, based in the United Kingdom, is facing strong criticism from pro-life voices for its service crafting jewelry from unused IVF embryos. The company markets its jewelry as a way for parents to remember and honor embryos by encasing them in rings, bracelets, and other keepsakes.

The company allows couples to personalize the jewelry with various metals and birthstones, and even suggests combining embryos with other sentimental items.

Pro-life advocates warn that this practice treats precious human lives as commodities and disregards the moral weight of each unique child created.

“These embryos are actually human beings,” said pro-life advocate Stephanie Gray Connors.

She emphasized, “The children made by IVF are more valuable than any earthly jewel; those who have died deserve a respectful burial as any born person does, and those involved in taking the lives of the youngest of our kind owe them repentance, not rings.”

Live Action, a prominent pro-life group, described the practice as “dystopian,” warning against treating children as decorations.

According to Mayo Clinic, IVF involves fertilizing eggs in a lab before implantation in the uterus, but only a small percentage of embryos survive to birth.

Them Before Us, an organization promoting every child’s right to a mother and father, highlights that most lab-created children remain frozen, are destroyed, or are not allowed the chance at life.

Patriotic believers are called to advocate for the dignity of all human life, grounded in biblical truth and a culture that cherishes every child. Christians must affirm that every child, from conception, possesses God-given worth and deserves protection.
