Indonesia Expands Blasphemy Laws, Christians Concerned
Faith Facts
- Indonesia will expand its blasphemy laws from one to six articles in January 2026, applying the new rules to both citizens and foreigners.
- The revised code includes a clause recognizing “any living law,” which lacks clear definition and may allow for informal interpretations, potentially endangering religious minorities.
- A recent Christian youth retreat in West Java was attacked by a mob, leading to property damage and evacuation of participants as local authorities intervened.
As Christians, we must remember our calling to stand firm when religious liberty comes under threat around the world. Indonesia’s changes to its laws serve as a reminder to pray for our brothers and sisters and to advocate for justice founded on Biblical freedom and peace.

Godly Warrior’s Departure Ignites Fresh Urges for Purity Revival
Faith Facts
- Pastor Jerry Kirk founded National Coalition for Protection of Children and Families to combat pornography and promote sexual purity.
- He launched Concerned Citizens for Community Values in 1983, now Center for Christian Virtue, Ohio’s largest Christian policy group opposing abortion and same-sex marriage.
- Kirk, who debated porn mogul Larry Flynt and authored The Mind Polluters, is survived by wife Patricia, five children, 28 grandchildren, and 66 great-grandchildren.
Heaven welcomed a bold defender of family purity as Ohio pastor Jerry Kirk entered eternity at age 94 on March 9.
The Center for Christian Virtue mourned its founder while celebrating his faithful service.
“The love of Jesus Christ overflowed from Pastor Jerry Kirk. A joyful warrior, Pastor Kirk inspired countless pastors and parents across Cincinnati to boldly stand for the safety of their communities and kids,” said CCV President Aaron Baer.
“While we mourn the loss of a giant in our movement and the founder of our mission, we celebrate that Pastor Kirk is hearing those sweet words from our heavenly Father, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.’”
“Pastor Kirk’s life is a testimony to what God can do through the faithfulness of His followers,” Baer added.
“If we had gotten together sooner for the battle against pornography, thousands of children would still be alive, millions of women would not have been raped, an entire generation of young people would not have been ravaged through drugs and twisted death-dealing sex,” Kirk wrote in his 1985 book.
From high school conversion to seminary training and decades pastoring, Kirk embodied Proverbs 31:8-9 by defending the vulnerable against moral decay threatening faith, family, and freedom.
Honor Kirk’s legacy by joining Faith and Freedom Report in upholding Biblical values—protect children, purity, and our nation’s godly heritage today.

Believers Face Growing Threats to Women’s Safety in Public Spaces
Faith Facts
- New National Construction Code allows replacing up to half of single-sex toilets with all-gender facilities in public buildings like schools and sports venues.
- ACL CEO Michelle Pearse warns this risks safety for sexual violence survivors, young girls, mothers, and older women lacking private spaces.
- In ACT, girls are dropping sports due to shared changing rooms with men, validating privacy concerns.
Australia’s updated building rules mandate states to adopt or reject changes by May 1 that diminish dedicated women’s toilets, sparking outcry from the Australian Christian Lobby.
These shifts challenge God’s design for protecting family dignity and safety in public spaces, urging Christian action to preserve biblical values of modesty and security.
“Women and girls deserve safe, private spaces in public buildings,” said Pearse.
“Removing or reducing women’s toilets puts their safety and dignity at risk.”
“The government cannot say it opposes forced all-gender toilets in one policy and then allow it to happen through the building code,” Pearse said.
“We’ve raised concerns that reducing the number of single-sex facilities risks compromising privacy and safety for women and girls – and we’ve already been proven right.”
Join the ACL’s fight to opt out of these ungodly mandates—pray for NSW leaders to uphold family protections and freedom rooted in Scripture.

Celebrities Embrace Spiritual Roots Amid Fame’s DemandsOregon voters overwhelmingly approved measures aimed at strengthening voting rights and electoral security in the two states on Tuesday. For the first time ever, voters in Oregon—a state with no firm statewide restrictions on campaign advertisements prior to election day—supported limits on political advertising 24 hours before an election. Ballot Measure 108 would impose penalties, including fines and potential prison time, for the distribution or magnification of prohibited messages, such as robocalls or social media ads in the last 24 hours before voting. This new law would mirror voting regulations in 18 other states and take effect immediately after certification. In another decisive victory for democratic reforms, voters passed Ballot Measure 107, which guarantees the right of Oregon residents to vote by mail. This would make mail-in voting irrevocable in the state, preventing anyone from revoking an already mailed ballot. A total of 13 Oregon ballot measures were on the ballot, with seven advanced and six defeated. Just across the Columbia River, in Washington state, voters also fortified their electoral system by approving Indian Sovereignty Restriction on Gaming, or ISRG, which had been challenged since it was adopted in 2011. On Tuesday, 73% of Washington state voters approved the ballot initiative that maintains compactness and viability restrictions on gaming compacts between tribes and the state. Washington also returned to the 2024 ballot Initiative 120, the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, an agreement binding Washington’s electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote. This compact has been turned down by voters four times since 2006, but now with the support of the Democratic majorities in states like Michigan, Maryland, and Washington, it advances closer to activating once 270 electoral votes are secured. These measures reflect a broader national trend toward expanding voting access and preventing interference, as well as addressing issues like tribal sovereignty and electoral reform.
