Growing Threats to Faith in Iran Ignite Urgent Calls for Divine Intervention

Christian Activists for a Free Iran (CAFI) is sounding the alarm over the brutal treatment of political and religious prisoners within the Islamic Republic. This coalition of pastors, lawyers, and activists is pleading for the international community to intervene as human rights violations escalate against those standing for truth.
As believers, we must stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters who are being silenced and abused for their convictions. The group highlights that many detainees are victims of psychological abuse and have been denied basic human dignity within the prison system.
Attieh Fard, director of CAFI, issued a sobering warning regarding the current state of silence from the global stage.
“We believe that the silence of the international community could lead to further human rights violations, whereas timely attention and action can help save human lives.”
While long-term prisoners suffer for their faith, recent protesters have also been swept up in the regime’s crackdown. Even historic Christian communities in the region face systemic discrimination, being treated as second-class citizens regarding inheritance and marriage laws.
The Iranian diaspora remains divided on geopolitical conflicts, but they are unified in their opposition to a regime that systematically opposes the Gospel. We must continue to pray for the protection and liberation of those held captive by this oppressive authority.
