Historian Tom Holland has been appointed Durham Cathedral’s Bede Librarian, honoring the Venerable Bede, father of English history.
Bede’s Ecclesiastical History of the English People, completed around 731 AD, chronicles Roman Britain and England’s conversion to Christianity.
