A community in Nigeria’s Plateau State is mourning after Fulani terrorists launched a vicious, unprovoked assault on Mbwelle village. At least 20 faithful Christians were martyred during the late-night raid, leaving families devastated and many residents still missing.
The tragedy hit the Dakus family particularly hard, with seven members losing their lives for their faith. Among those identified was church elder Iliya Mangut Dakus, a man of God who stood as a pillar of his local congregation.
Local believers remain steadfast in prayer despite the rising darkness of persecution. They continue to call upon the Lord for intervention as radical groups seek to displace Christian communities and expand extremist ideologies across the region.
“Lord, how long shall we endure this suffering and persecution?”
As the body of Christ, we must stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Nigeria. Let us pray for the families of the fallen and for the protection of those who are daily targeted for their devotion to Jesus.
