God’s Hand at Work: Digital Evangelism Sparks First Conversion
Faith Facts
- A player committed to following Jesus and was promptly connected with a local church for ongoing discipleship and support.
- The outreach team initiated over 20 faith-based conversations during a single session, witnessing multiple positive responses to the message.
- Christian Vision sees this milestone as part of its broader effort to explore innovative digital mission fields.
Christian Vision recently documented what it says is the first known conversion through a live-streamed gaming interaction. During an ARC Raiders session, evangelists engaged players in spiritual conversations while supporters followed along in real time on Discord.
This outreach highlights the potential for digital spaces to become meaningful places for Gospel conversations. By entering gaming environments, believers are meeting younger audiences where they already gather.
Managing Director Heinz Oldewage said the goal is to guide new believers beyond a first introduction to Jesus.
“Our goal is not to simply stop once someone has been introduced to Jesus through this innovative evangelistic work, but to take them on a complete journey of faith,” Oldewage said.
Strategic digital evangelism keeps Scripture accessible in a rapidly changing culture.
