Franklin Graham Urges Prayer After Sudan Massacre

Published

on

Faith Facts

  • The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) seized the last government-held city of el-Fasher after an 18-month siege, taking control on October 26, 2025.
  • Evangelist Franklin Graham denounced the violence as the “face of radical Islam” and called for believers to pray for Sudan’s suffering civilians.
  • The RSF’s actions, including verified executions of civilians and war crimes, have prompted international condemnation and calls for urgent global intervention.

Witnesses and international observers report that paramilitary RSF fighters committed grave atrocities against civilians during their recent offensive in el-Fasher, western Sudan. The city, following a lengthy siege, has seen thousands killed and millions displaced under escalating violence.

Evangelist Franklin Graham expressed heartbreak over the situation, highlighting the brutal persecution Christians and others face under radical ideologies.

“This is the face of radical Islam. We’ve been working in Sudan for over 30 years, and our hearts break for this country,” Graham stated, urging believers to pray for those at risk.

Verified footage depicts RSF fighters executing unarmed men, with international organizations confirming that these acts violate established human rights laws. The Israeli Humanitarian Research Lab’s satellite images further corroborate reports of mass killings.

Christian Solidarity Worldwide called for urgent intervention, with their leadership describing the violence as horrific and expressing distress over the use of child soldiers within RSF ranks.

“Images of RSF fighters humiliating, torturing and killing civilians are just a snapshot of the devastating violence that civilians in El Fasher have been enduring for the past 18 months and are now being subjected to without any protection,” said CSW’s Founder President Mervyn Thomas.

The RSF, rooted in the Janjaweed militia responsible for past genocide, remains led by Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, expanding its influence through regional alliances and foreign support. The ongoing conflict threatens not only Sudan’s unity but also its vulnerable communities seeking peace and security.

As faithful believers, we are called to stand in prayer for Sudan and advocate for justice and protection for the innocent. Let us unite our voices for those suffering, trusting the Lord to bring hope and restoration.

Christian Minorities Face Rising Hostility in India

Published

on

Faith Facts

  • India is ranked the 11th worst country for Christian persecution, above nations like China and Saudi Arabia.
  • Missionaries faced aggression while traveling to the village of Juthana, with authorities initially failing to protect them.
  • In southern India, Christian families endure an extended social and economic boycott for declining to support idol worship.

Across India, faithful Christians are standing strong amid increasing persecution rooted in anti-Christian hostility. The pressure to abandon their beliefs in favor of idol worship places a heavy burden on communities striving to honor their faith and traditions.

A recent attack saw missionaries harassed for their witness, with police suspended after failing to intervene. These events highlight the urgent need for defending religious liberty in places where Christians seek only to worship freely and peacefully.

“This brutal attack is a sad reminder of the growing intolerance faced by peaceful religious minorities in regions already fraught with tension.”

Communities in southern India face organized boycotts, denying believers access to daily necessities due to their refusal to fund pagan temple activities. These actions call believers to prayer, as families persevere despite being cut off from their neighbors and essential resources.

“We are not able to talk to people next to our door. If we do so, we will be fined. When we go to the shop, they refused to sell items. Due to this, we struggle a lot to lead our daily lives.

We feel very sad that we are now treated as aliens in the place where we have been living together for years.”

Let us stand firm in prayer and solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Christ, championing the biblical rights to faith, family, and religious freedom everywhere.

House Leaders Unite in Prayer for Nation’s Healing

Published

on

Faith Facts

  • House Freedom Caucus members and the Family Research Council gathered to pray for America, its leaders, and protection against violence.
  • Prayers were offered for truth to prevail in public life, for President Trump’s safety, and for courage among pastors.
  • Scripture and appeals for the Holy Spirit’s guidance were central to the gathering’s message of national renewal.

Concerned for the nation’s spiritual state, congressional and faith leaders joined to seek God’s intervention and guidance. They emphasized unity built on Christian truth and called for renewed moral strength to face challenges like violence and deception.

“This is a nation that is broken. The people are broken, and we desperately need you, Lord. We desperately need your hand of guidance,” prayed Rep. Andrew Clyde, expressing the need for divine leadership and unity without compromise with evil.

Prayers also sought restoration among congressional leaders, an end to division, and boldness for pastors to lead the nation toward righteousness.

“Help us to be peacemakers. Help us to stay on the truth, without being caustic, without being unkind, but help us to stand and reach out to those that oppose us. We’re to pray for our enemies. So that’s what we’re doing here today,” Christian author Frank Turek prayed, addressing rising anger and violence.

The group lifted up President Trump in accordance with 1 Timothy 2, praying for protection, wisdom, and attentiveness to the Holy Spirit’s guidance as he continues to lead.

“May that still small voice of the Holy Spirit continue to speak into him and guide him moment by moment as he continues to guide this nation,” prayed Rep. Mark Harris, also appealing for safety and openness to God’s counsel.

Attendees prayed for truth to triumph over falsehood in public discourse, especially on issues like sexuality and the sanctity of life, affirming that only God’s ways bring true freedom and hope.

With a closing prayer, Dr. Ben Carson acknowledged God’s blessings on America’s founding, asking the Lord to preserve liberty and faith despite forces working against them.

Let us continue to seek God’s guidance for our leaders and our land, praying boldly that America stands as a beacon of faith, family, and freedom.
