Church Engagement Key for Young Adults’ Faith
Faith Facts
- Only 1 in 4 young adults strongly agree someone in church encourages their spiritual growth.
- Gen Z Christians report the lowest engagement and opportunities for spiritual development.
- Those highly engaged in church experience the greatest well-being and flourishing.
New findings from the State of the Bible report highlight a concerning trend: young adults are not receiving the discipleship needed to firmly establish their Christian faith.
The research, produced by the American Bible Society, shows that spiritual growth is closely tied to how deeply individuals engage with their church community.
“People’s lives improve when they engage with their church—not just attending, but using their gifts, developing relationships, and taking advantage of opportunities to grow spiritually,” said John Plake of the American Bible Society.
Only 1 in 5 Gen Z adults feel they are able to use their spiritual gifts, emphasizing a need for churches to help the next generation connect to their God-given purpose.
Church involvement brings hope, reduces loneliness, and provides a supportive environment for building relationships grounded in faith.
Faithful engagement—serving, connecting, and growing in Christ—is proven to foster human flourishing and Christian maturity.
Let us encourage one another and build up the body of Christ, equipping young believers to thrive in faith and freedom through the local church.

“I was afraid to sleep. But after studying the Word of God, I now sleep soundly at night. My heart is at peace,” said Annette from Tanzania, sharing the transformative power of Scripture.
One woman in Laos journeyed for days to receive her first Bible, declaring, “I had waited years for this moment. When I finally received the Bible, I couldn’t hold back the tears.”
With 99% of the world’s population now having access to at least part of the Bible, the global body of Christ is celebrating significant progress. The ongoing Vision 2025 movement continues to inspire believers, showing how faith-driven resolve is bringing hope and truth to every nation.
Stand with communities worldwide by praying for continued progress in Scripture translation and distribution, that God’s truth would touch every heart.

Gen Z Finds Hope in Christ-Led Revival
Faith Facts
- A new documentary, “The Revival Generation,” explores how Generation Z is seeking faith amid unprecedented challenges.
- Notable Christian voices, including Dr. Ben Carson and Ralph Reed, emphasize how Gen Z’s hardships and cultural pressures are leading many to turn to God.
- Revival gatherings at universities nationwide, such as Auburn and Asbury, are leading to a renewed sense of purpose and hope among young people.
The revival among Generation Z demonstrates God’s powerful work as young people pursue healing and truth in a culture that often leaves them feeling lost and isolated.
Leaders and students alike recognize that Christianity provides the stability and hope that secular worldviews have failed to offer this generation.
“Young people are looking at some of the values they’ve been given from a very permissive generation that’s older, and they want to find some stability in their lives,” said Tim Robertson. “And obviously Christianity gives them that stability, and it gives them a rock and an anchor.”
Challenges like financial insecurity, cultural confusion, and rising mental health struggles are driving Gen Z to seek something lasting—and many are finding it in a relationship with Christ.
Efforts like UniteUS, founded by Tonya Prewett, gather college students for prayer and worship, resulting in spontaneous baptisms and deep spiritual transformation.
“I hope it will ignite something inside of them: number one, to get saved; number two, to know that they have a purpose; and number three, to make a difference where they are,” shared Prewett about the film’s impact.
Gen Z’s unique experiences have awakened a longing for truth, with many choosing to follow Jesus as the only true source of hope amid adversity and darkness.
“They’ve tasted the darkness in ways that, for other generations, it’s taken more like 40, 50, 60 years to taste that much darkness. And I think they’re just sick of it, and they want a different way. They want hope,” said Jennie Allen.
Recent data shows a significant increase in faith commitment, especially among young men, as they embrace vulnerability, accountability, and biblical principles.
Now more than ever, believers are called to pray for Generation Z, support spiritual renewal, and share the steadfast love of Christ in every community.

Ancient Wall Discovered at Biblical Pool of Siloam
Faith Facts
- A newly unearthed 39-foot-tall wall in Jerusalem has been identified as part of the original engineering of the Pool of Siloam, connected to the miracle where Jesus healed a blind man.
- Radiocarbon dating of organic material embedded in the mortar confirms the wall was constructed during the First Temple period, roughly 2,800 years ago.
- The wall demonstrates the ingenuity and faith-driven resilience of Jerusalem’s ancient residents in facing environmental and climatic challenges.
The recent discovery of the massive dam wall affirms the historical accounts recorded in Scripture, tangibly connecting believers to the places where Christ performed miracles.
Archaeological findings such as this strengthen our faith by providing visible testimony to biblical events and the wisdom granted to previous generations.
“Already 2,800 years ago, the residents of Jerusalem found sophisticated ways to apply outstanding engineering ingenuity and devise creative solutions to a severe climate crisis.”
The site of the Pool of Siloam will soon be accessible to visitors, underscoring its ongoing significance for people of faith and its role in Christian heritage.
Lamp wicks, some of the oldest known, were also discovered nearby, giving further insight into the rituals and customs shaped by biblical values in ancient Israel.
