Kevin Rideout, a devoted husband and father, was taken by kidnappers near the city center, close to government buildings. As his family and church body stand united, the call to pray is resounding across the globe.

SIM, the mission organization Rideout serves with, flies medical supplies, brings clean water, and shares the hope of Christ throughout Africa.

Their ongoing service is a testament to living out the call of Galatians 6:10—doing good to all, especially those of faith.

“A missionary pilot with the Christian organization SIM International (Serving in Mission) has been abducted in the West African nation of Niger. It is being reported that he was taken north to areas controlled by an offshoot of ISIS,” wrote Graham on Facebook.

U.S. officials have confirmed their efforts to secure his safe return, spotlighting America’s commitment to protect its citizens abroad. Faith leaders like Franklin Graham and Representative Mark Harris are encouraging the nation to intercede for Rideout and his loved ones.

“Pray that he is rescued. Pray for his family’s strength. Pray that peace is with him in this unimaginable situation,” Harris wrote in a post on X.
