A recent change in the law could remove criminal penalties for self-managed abortions, which would erode protection for viable unborn children. Baroness Stroud and fellow peers have proposed restoring required in-person appointments to prevent unsafe and unlawful outcomes.
Polling indicates that most women support restoring such safeguards. Now, the House of Lords has an opportunity to affirm the value of both women and unborn babies, setting an example rooted in faith and moral responsibility.
