She could face prosecution if investigators determine the marriage was fraudulent. That warning should sober every educator who treats wedding vows as a tactic instead of a holy promise.

Marriage was given by God as a lifelong covenant between husband and wife. It is not a form to fill out so someone can skip the line and claim a U.S. passport.

Citizenship in this country is a blessing guarded by law, not a prize handed out through a staged union. Families who play by the rules have every right to expect that the law will not be mocked.
