Thousands of Christians gathered in Belfast, Northern Ireland, lifting high the name of Jesus through song, prayer, and vibrant public witness. The March for Jesus brought a powerful spirit of joy and unity as families and believers from all backgrounds marched together through the city.
Rev. John Ahern noted that the event was attended by many families and children, and the peace of God was evident throughout the procession.
“The March brought a sense of celebration and joy to the city,” said Ahern.
Beginning at Ormeau Park and ending at City Hall, the gathering featured heartfelt worship led by Brian Houston and included prayer from respected pastors like Bishop David McClay and Rev. Jim Rae. Attendees interceded for government, families, the unborn, and those hurting or addicted, asking God for awakening across the land.
“They prayed for family, government, the unborn, the addicted and broken, along with revival and awakening for the island,” added Ahern.
The event culminated in a gospel invitation, with several attendees responding to Christ’s call. Many expressed plans to support the upcoming March for Jesus in Dublin, believing that proclaiming the gospel openly can change hearts and restore hope.
Ahern emphasized that unity in Christ transcends differences, and that public faith can inspire a divided culture with the love of Jesus.
“Unity doesn’t mean uniformity. The differences in the body of Christ exist. They’re real. We’re not saying they’re unimportant but Jesus said, ‘By this all men will know you’re my disciples, by your love for each other.’”
