  • Gafcon Chair, Archbishop Laurent Mbanda, has invited orthodox bishops to a pivotal meeting in Nigeria next March.
  • He described this period as crucial for the Anglican Communion and warned against leaders who drift from biblical principles.
  • The gathering seeks prayerful unity and steadfastness against moral compromise, relying on the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

The alliance of biblical Anglicans, Gafcon, is preparing for a landmark assembly in Abuja, aiming to uphold scriptural truth within the church community.

Archbishop Mbanda stressed the growing challenges posed by shifts away from God’s Word, particularly the elevation of leaders opposed to traditional teachings.

“Revisionists deliberately divide the Communion with schismatic actions that celebrate sin, as they appoint false shepherds to lead their flock away from God’s good word. But Jesus is building his church, and the gates of Hell will not prevail!”

Concerns about faithfulness have intensified, as leadership appointments that contradict Scripture become more frequent.

The March meeting offers leaders an opportunity to seek divine direction with humility and unity, despite obstacles of funding and international access.

“The gospel is exploding in the Global South, and it is critical that every orthodox Anglican bishop is able to attend this assembly in person.”

People of faith are encouraged to pray and extend support so faithful leaders can defend biblical values within the Anglican Communion.
