  • ADF International warns against experimental puberty blockers for children.
  • The Cass Review found serious risks and unknown long-term effects from these drugs.
  • A judicial review could prevent the NHS trial from moving forward.

ADF International has called on the NHS to stop its “Pathways” clinical trial, which would involve giving puberty blockers to over 200 children, citing grave and lasting dangers.

The Cass Review revealed that puberty blockers pose significant risks, particularly to minors, with long-term consequences for brain and physical development still largely unknown.

These blockers are linked to impacts on fertility, sexual function, and bone strength, and may lead to further, irreversible interventions.

“Puberty blockers are the first step down a medical path with extremely dangerous lifelong consequences,” said ADF International.

ADF challenged the trial’s ethical and scientific basis, highlighting that brief studies cannot capture the full harm to individual identity and well-being.

“Calling this a ‘clinical trial’ doesn’t make it safe,” ADF stated.

“Too many children already have been harmed because ideology has overtaken evidence. This trial perpetuates these same grave harms.”

Faith-led families are reminded to stand for truth and protect God’s design for children, upholding biblical values in the face of medical and cultural pressures.
