Why Study Theology? Faith’s Urgent Call
Faith Facts
- The need for formal theological study is declining in the West but surging in the Global South.
- Serious study equips believers to discern truth and lead with wisdom in today’s confused world.
- Europe’s current crises are chances for rediscovering its spiritual roots and Christian heritage.
Across the world, formal theological education faces new challenges while grassroots learning grows where faith is spreading fastest.
As our societies shift, Christians must ask: why pursue deep study rooted in Scripture?
Some hold anti-intellectual attitudes, but we are called to honor God with our minds and hearts.
We should embrace His Word and His works as we seek wisdom and truthful discernment.
“Study is part of loving God with all our minds.”
The task goes beyond Church walls.
Missional study seeks to join God’s work in every sphere, serving communities and culture by promoting Christian truth and justice.
This approach asks us to look outward.
It recognizes how God’s kingdom is advancing amid historical and present struggles, especially in places like Europe where faith once shaped nations.
“The crises we are experiencing are opportunities for the rediscovery of Europe’s soul.”
Europe’s challenges—moral, political, spiritual—require us to return to the biblical truth that every person is made in God’s image.
Only by reclaiming these foundations can our societies find hope and lasting unity.
Christian study prepares believers to be responsible, missional leaders.
They should be ready to stand for truth, justice, and reconciliation in a world in need of Christ’s light.
Training rooted in God’s Word strengthens families, communities, and nations.
Let us be faithful learners, grounded in Scripture and confident in God’s purpose for our generation.

Christian Villages in Nigeria Face Deadly Attacks
Faith Facts
- Ten Christians lost their lives in coordinated attacks by Fulani militias on four villages in Taraba state’s Donga County.
- The assaults left Christian communities without protection, prompting urgent calls for prayer and God’s mercy.
- Nigeria remains one of the most perilous nations for Christians, with the majority of global Christian martyrdoms occurring there.
On Saturday night and into Sunday morning, Christian villages in eastern Nigeria were struck by violence, resulting in tragic loss of life and widespread devastation. Residents reported that Fulani militias targeted Iornem, Kyahar, Uhula, and Samgambe villages in Taraba state, leaving families in mourning and homes in ruins.
“Ten Christians have been killed, this I can confirm. The Fulani militias are still launching more attacks in other nearby Christian villages as I send this message to you this morning, Sunday.”
The victims’ communities are now left vulnerable, facing ongoing threats while local leaders and residents plead for divine intervention. The absence of security assistance has heightened fears and deepened calls for faithful support and prayer.
“When are we going to have peace in Taraba state? Oh God, have mercy on us.”
These attacks reflect a troubling pattern in Nigeria’s Middle Belt, where Christian lands are often targeted by those seeking to impose an ideology contrary to religious freedom. In 2025, Nigeria ranked seventh on the World Watch List for Christian persecution, with the highest number of Christians killed for their faith.
As Christians, standing together in prayer and advocating for the persecuted Church is vital. Let us lift up our brothers and sisters, praying for safety, justice, and peace in Nigeria while remaining steadfast in our commitment to faith, family, and freedom.

Texas Couple Convicted in $25M Pyramid Scheme
Faith Facts
- Marlon and Lashonda Moore were found guilty of defrauding over 10,000 investors through a pyramid scheme called “Blessings in No Time.”
- The scam targeted the vulnerable by promising quick, large returns and exploited trust within the African American community.
- The Moores face up to 20 years in prison for conspiracy and wire fraud after deceiving people out of more than $25 million.
Integrity is foundational to Christian living, and violating the trust of neighbors for personal gain undermines both community and faith.
This case is a sober reminder of the need for discernment and truth in all dealings, especially in difficult times.
“This was my first encounter with gifting circles, I am ashamed I believed them.”
“I brought in 6 of my family members.”
“BINT used all 6 people & said they would return ‘my fires’ when I needed them to ensure that I was blessed out.”
“That never happened.”
“… Total family loss = $32K, of that, I lost $15,650 between my own spots & family I sponsored.”
“… Why would I believe they would give a refund?”
“I believed we’d get a refund due to the heavily documented refund guarantees from BINT founders & staff.”
Fraud not only creates financial hardship but erodes the bonds that hold our communities together, violating the Biblical command to love and treat one another justly.
As Christians, we are called to stand for truth, support one another with honesty, and seek justice in the marketplace and beyond.
Stay informed to protect your family, finances, and the faith-based values that unite us.

Franklin Graham: Pray Amid Disturbing Turmoil
Faith Facts
- The Rev. Franklin Graham called recent protests against ICE in Minneapolis part of a radical socialist movement aiming to undermine America’s foundations.
- He emphasized prayer for the nation’s leaders and reminded Christians that God is the true hope for healing and unity.
- Authorities stated Renee Good, shot during an ICE operation, did not comply with law enforcement commands, leading to tragic consequences.
The nation’s attention has turned to Minneapolis, where the fatal shooting of Renee Good by an ICE officer has stirred considerable debate over law, order, and justice. The atmosphere of unrest has prompted Christian leaders to call for prayerful discernment and steadfastness in faith.
Rev. Franklin Graham stated in a recent post that these protests are being exploited by those who oppose American values and seek to weaken the moral and constitutional fabric of our country.
“The protests we see across the country right now are underpinned by the radical socialist left, whose goal is to make the United States like Venezuela, ultimately destroying the America we know.”
Graham went on to warn about the spiritual and social dangers of participating in unrest, challenging Christians to remain vigilant in truth and integrity. The tragic loss of life is a sobering reminder to follow lawful instructions and support the challenging duties of law enforcement.
“This incident serves as a strong reminder that everyone needs to obey law enforcement. If they tell you to raise your hands, raise your hands; if they tell you to get out of the car, get out of the car. Argue with them in court and let a judge decide who is right or wrong, but you should not take a chance of getting hurt.”
With tensions rising, Graham called upon the faithful to intercede for President Trump and his administration, citing Psalm 11:3 as a call to spiritual action in troubled times.
“I encourage you to pray,” he said. “Pray for President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, and all the Cabinet and leadership of our nation. ‘If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?’ (Psalm 11:3).”
Now more than ever, Christians are urged to pray earnestly for our leaders, for peace in our communities, and for America to remain steadfast on God’s path of righteousness and liberty for all.
