Rick Warren Urges Church: Emulate Jesus’ Ministry
Faith Facts
- Rick Warren called on Christian leaders to follow Jesus’ model of ministry for winning souls.
- He outlined five essential actions, using the acronym PEACE: proclaim, equip, alleviate, continually pray, and establish new churches.
- Warren emphasized the blessedness found in doing, not just knowing, God’s Word.
During the World Evangelical Alliance’s General Assembly at SaRang Church, Rick Warren challenged pastors from around the globe to prioritize sharing the Gospel according to Christ’s example. He insisted that God’s method, not man’s, is the only sure path to fulfilling the Great Commission in this generation.
“Probably most pastors in this room have never preached on this verse: John 12:49.”
Warren celebrated how Jesus’ instructions transcend culture and geography, having seen their effectiveness in diverse settings. The steps—pass on the good news, equip disciples, alleviate suffering, pray, and plant churches—mirror the scriptural pattern Jesus set.
“If you want the blessing of God on your life, if you want the power of God in your life, if you want the anointing of God on your life, you must care about what Jesus cares about most. He wants His lost children found. And as long as there’s one person that doesn’t know Him, we are commanded to keep reaching out,” he declared.
Warren reminded the assembly that true blessing comes from living out the Word of God, not just understanding it. He highlighted the historical role of Christian missions in building churches, schools, and hospitals as an embodiment of Jesus’ ministry.
“This is something most Christians don’t understand. We don’t get blessed for knowing the Bible. We get blessed for doing,” he declared. “The Bible says be doers of the Word. Almost every sermon, Jesus says, ‘Go and do likewise.’”
The call was clear: believers must not only teach Jesus’ message but replicate His example by reaching the lost, healing the hurting, praying fervently, and growing the Church in every nation.
Let us stand together in faith, united by the mission to spread the saving message of Jesus Christ with steadfast obedience and courageous action for God and country.

Believers Welcome New Restrictions on Online Dangers as Biblical Values Rise in the UK
Faith Facts
- Closes loopholes banning adults pretending to be children in pornographic material.
- Requires platforms to verify age and consent, granting depicted women right to withdraw consent anytime.
- Prohibits incest, step-incest content and ‘nudification’ apps to protect vulnerable.
Christian think tank CARE hails House of Lords votes imposing safeguards on online pornography, long unchecked unlike BBFC-regulated terrestrial content.
These reforms uphold Biblical standards by banning exploitative material that humiliates women and depicts illegal acts.
Caroline Ansell, CARE’s director of advocacy and policy, said
“It marks an important moment in the fight to bring basic standards, safeguards and accountability to an online porn industry that has operated in the shadows for too long.”
“We warmly welcome the amendments passed, each of them will better protect women, children, and anyone at risk of harm,” she said.
The government’s Online Safety Act advances family protections against youth porn access, while vigilance remains for free speech.
