Patel Defends Patriotic Celebration with Olympic Gold Heroes
Faith Facts
- U.S. men’s hockey team clinched gold in overtime thriller against Canada, last win since 1980 Miracle on Ice.
- FBI Director Kash Patel humbly accepted invitation to locker room, spraying beer while team sang patriotic Toby Keith anthem.
- Star Jack Hughes, despite losing teeth, scored winner and praised blessings of representing God-given America.
FBI Director Kash Patel faced baseless media backlash for joyfully celebrating with America’s gold medal hockey champions at the Milan-Cortina Olympics.
Patel, a devoted patriot and hockey player, affirmed his love for the greatest nation on earth amid critics’ complaints over FBI priorities.
President Trump called to congratulate the team on speakerphone, joking about inviting the women’s squad too.
For the very concerned media — yes, I love America and was extremely humbled when my friends, the newly minted Gold Medal winners on Team USA, invited me into the locker room to celebrate this historic moment with the boys. Greatest country on earth and greatest sport on earth.
Former FBI Deputy Dan Bongino dismissed the uproar, prioritizing national pride over petty optics.
In an era of unfaithful Olympians shaming their homeland, this victory unites families in God-honoring patriotism.

Five Churches of Christ congregations in El Salvador partner with Texas volunteers to construct sturdy homes for families in need, embodying Christian love and protection.
Project Nehemiah, inspired by the biblical leader who rebuilt Jerusalem’s walls, pools offerings to provide shelter amid economic hardship, transforming empty lots into safe havens for God’s people.
“There was sadness in knowing that our brothers and sisters need a physical home, and many might never be able to build one,” Gámez said.
“We wanted them to feel God’s protection,” he said.
“One sister cried when she received her keys and said she had never had keys before. Now she has keys to open her own front door — a gift from the Lord.”
“It also showed me that, even with a language barrier, people are people and desire the same basic things in life.”

50 Years: Christians in Sport Advances Gospel
Faith Facts
- Launched in 1976 by prayerful group including Wimbledon champion Stan Smith.
- Grew from 80 at first dinner to supporting 10,000 athletes today.
- Partners with ministries in 150 countries, equipping over 1,000 leaders.
God moved powerfully when sports-loving Christians gathered on February 18, 1976, convinced He cares deeply about athletics as a mission field.
They prayed boldly for luncheons, dinners, a full-time leader, regional fellowships, and England as Europe’s example in Christ-centered sports outreach.
The inaugural London dinner on June 19, 1976, drew 80 believers, sparking explosive growth to 400 attendees by 1978.
Registered as a charity in 1980 with Rev. Andrew Wingfield Digby as director, the ministry now runs camps, university events, and global partnerships.
Sport has always mattered to both God and humanity, generation after generation.
said Graham Daniels, general director.
Sport is a universal language. God has placed so many people at the heart of it—His mission field.
God cares about sport and the millions involved. And He would move if they prayed.
God’s kindness shines in answering those prayers, transforming a simple vision into worldwide gospel impact amid sports’ rising cultural power.
Like Daniels urges, let’s pray boldly today for revival in athletics, equipping believers to shine Christ’s light on fields everywhere.

CofE Synod Fails to End Marriage Debate
Faith Facts
- Church of England Synod debated ending LLF process, but same-sex marriage wranglings persist despite media claims of closure.
- Legal advice confirms doctrine unchanged since 2017, bound by Scripture, Book of Common Prayer, and 39 Articles.
- Bishops’ motion laments distress, closes LLF by July 2026, yet launches new groups to prolong revisionist campaign.
The Church of England’s General Synod saw bishops propose a motion to conclude the divisive Living in Love and Faith process.
Headlines suggested frozen proposals for same-sex blessings, yet campaigners for doctrinal change declared full steam ahead.
The Archbishop of York to move: That this Synod: a) recognise and lament the distress and pain many have suffered during the LLF process, especially LGBTQI+ people; b) affirm that the LLF Programme and all work initiated by the February 2023 LLF Motion and subsequent LLF Motions will conclude by July 2026.
Orthodox Anglicans criticized the motion’s incoherence, as it appeases revisionists while ignoring biblical marriage truths.
Rev Dr Ian Paul highlights missed opportunity to refocus on kingdom priorities like evangelism and discipleship.
Stand firm for God’s design of marriage as one man and one woman, safeguarding family and freedom in Christ.
