Al Mohler Rebukes Bible Use for LGBT Agenda
Faith Facts
- Al Mohler strongly opposed Gov. Beshear’s use of Scripture to justify support for LGBT policies.
- Mohler warned that theological liberalism is becoming a rival to biblical Christianity.
- Kentucky’s legislature overruled Beshear’s vetoes on both transgender procedures for minors and abortion restrictions.
Dr. Al Mohler, a leading Christian theologian, denounced Governor Andy Beshear’s statements using the Bible to back left-leaning social positions during his appearance on
“The View.”
Mohler insisted that twisting Biblical teachings for political agendas undermines true Christian faith.
“You have historic, orthodox biblical Christianity, and you have theological liberalism and whatever it produces next.”
Mohler said.
Gov. Beshear claimed his decisions, like vetoing bills restricting transgender procedures for minors, were motivated by the Golden Rule: to
“love our neighbor as ourselves.”
He echoed this belief in other forums, including the Democratic National Convention.
“Most of the decisions I make are based on that Golden Rule that says we love our neighbor as ourself, and that parable of the Good Samaritan that says everyone is our neighbor.”
Beshear stated.
Mohler argued that such selective use of faith contrasts with the biblical Christian worldview, noting that the current cultural divide reflects competing definitions of morality rooted in either Scripture or modern reinterpretation.
A pro-life nonprofit, The Family Foundation, chastised Beshear for, in their words, distorting Biblical teaching to promote abortion and gender ideology, emphasizing that true love seeks human flourishing as defined by God’s design.
Christians must remain steadfast, upholding Scripture as the foundation for moral decisions, and pray that truth prevails in public debate. Stay rooted in faith and freedom—stand boldly for biblical values in today’s culture.

Faith and Medicine: Wisdom from Scripture
Faith Facts
- The Bible does not prohibit wise use of medicine.
- Christian heritage has advanced healing through both prayer and medical knowledge.
- Scripture calls us to value knowledge and love our neighbor, including care for their health.
Todd White’s view equating modern medicine with witchcraft does not stand on biblical ground. His call to abandon medicine not only misrepresents faith, but endangers lives and contradicts Christian teaching.
Citing the Greek word ‘pharmakeia’ for sorcery, White denounces pharmaceuticals and encourages believers to reject modern treatments.
“Logic and reason are enemies of faith,” White said, urging congregants to throw away medicine.
Yet the Bible honors both faith and reason. Christian pioneers like Florence Nightingale shaped modern healthcare, inspired by their call from God.
God utilized doctors—even Luke, whom Paul calls “the beloved physician” (Colossians 4:14)—to serve and heal.
Jesus affirmed the importance of doctors when He said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick” (Luke 5:31).
Scripture shows practical examples of medical care, as when oil and wine were used to treat wounds (Luke 10:34), and when Isaiah instructed using figs for healing (Isaiah 38:21).
Biblical wisdom encourages prayer as well as stewardship of medical advances, blessing generations with improved health and hope.
Misinformation can cause grave harm, contrary to Christ’s command to love our neighbors (Matthew 22:39) and the biblical warning that people “are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6).
Let us thank God for medical breakthroughs, uphold biblical stewardship, and compassionately care for others with both prayer and practical help. Faith, hope, and healing are gifts from God for the good of all.

Pastor Rod Loy Strongly Denies Abuse Allegations
Faith Facts
- Pastor Rod Loy, leader at First Assembly of God in North Little Rock, is accused by Suzanne Lander of abuse beginning when she was a minor.
- The church initiated an external investigation and reports that no evidence supports the allegations against Pastor Loy.
- Loy has voluntarily stepped back from a national Assemblies of God executive role while an independent review is ongoing.
Serious accusations have been made against Pastor Rod Loy, whom Suzanne Lander claims abused her for two decades, beginning in her teenage years.
First Assembly of God has responded by both conducting a thorough investigation and resolutely defending Pastor Loy, finding no substantiating proof for the claims.
The church stresses transparency and a commitment to Biblical standards in handling these concerns while supporting Loy and encouraging prayer for all parties involved.
Pastor Loy’s leadership within the denomination remains notable, as he has served faithfully since 2001 and helped oversee growth and doctrinal integrity in the church body.
As this process unfolds, let us hold firm to truth, lift up those affected in prayer, and trust that God’s justice and mercy will prevail for everyone impacted.

Commission Removes Boller After Owens Defense
Faith Facts
- The Religious Liberty Commission dismissed Carrie Prejean Boller after her outspoken defense of Candace Owens during a hearing on antisemitism.
- Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who chairs the commission, confirmed the removal, stating it followed events at Monday’s meeting.
- Boller, referencing her Catholic faith, vows to continue standing for her beliefs despite her removal.
Recent developments at the Religious Liberty Commission highlight growing tensions over the defense of Christian voices in public discourse. Carrie Prejean Boller publicly supported Candace Owens, denying accusations of antisemitism against her and Tucker Carlson.
Boller firmly stated, “She’s not an antisemite. She just doesn’t support Zionism, and that really has to stop.”
Seth Dillon of The Babylon Bee countered Boller’s claims, saying that Owens and Carlson have fostered antisemitism and urged more careful review of their content.
Outspoken faith and patriotism remain at the center of Boller’s response, as she continues to connect her stance to her Catholic beliefs and her commitment to religious freedom.
In a statement, Simone Rizkallah of the Coalition of Catholics Against Antisemitism wrote, “The Catholic Church teaches unequivocally that antisemitism is a grave sin… These are not optional opinions. They belong to the Church’s authoritative teaching.”
Candace Owens responded to the controversy, declaring, “When they can’t win the argument, they move to censor the speaker… Every time they move to punish someone’s speech, more Americans and Christians awaken to the real threat to our freedom.”
This situation reminds us to speak truth boldly in the face of cultural and political pressure, defending liberty grounded in faith, and standing resolutely for Biblical values. Stay informed and uphold Christian principles in today’s society.
