Faith Facts

  • Kirk Franklin has faced criticism from fellow Christians for decades over his musical collaborations.
  • The gospel legend recently partnered with rapper GloRilla on a new single, drawing renewed scrutiny from some believers.
  • George Luke argues that Franklin deserves a break after years of gracious responses to criticism from within the church.

Kirk Franklin has long been a target of criticism from some within the Christian community. His latest single, featuring rapper GloRilla, has reignited the debate over what constitutes acceptable gospel music.

Throughout his career, Franklin has consistently responded to such criticism with grace and patience. The artist has spent decades navigating the tension between reaching new audiences and maintaining support from traditional gospel listeners.

“Let’s give the man a break,” writes George Luke, noting that Franklin has already endured years of friendly fire from fellow believers.

The gospel music legend has built a career on bridging generational and stylistic gaps. His collaborations have often sparked debate about the boundaries of Christian music and its purpose in contemporary culture.

Critics within the church have questioned Franklin’s approach to ministry through music. Some argue that certain partnerships compromise the gospel message, while others see them as opportunities for broader cultural engagement.

Franklin’s track record shows a consistent commitment to using music as a tool for outreach. His willingness to work across musical genres reflects a desire to meet people where they are.

The ongoing criticism raises questions about how the church should engage with artists who push creative boundaries. It also highlights the challenge of balancing artistic freedom with theological expectations.

George Luke suggests that after decades of faithful service and patient responses, Franklin has earned the right to create without constant second-guessing from fellow Christians.

  • Peralta and her husband Daniel Escobar both graduated from Baxter Institute in Honduras and were preparing to launch a Christian school in their hometown.
  • The Christian community across Latin America is mourning her loss, remembering her joy, energy, and faithful love for Christ and family.

A traffic accident in Colombia claimed the life of 26-year-old missionary Valentina Peralta on Monday. Peralta was driving a motorcycle to a children’s ministry event when a truck struck the vehicle, killing her and injuring her passenger.

She served alongside her husband Daniel Escobar on a church-planting team in Santa Marta. The couple has a two-year-old son and is native to the historic port city on the Caribbean Sea.

“We are all devastated by this loss,” said workers with Great Cities Missions. “Valentina was a bright light in the community. She and her husband … spent their time in the field faithfully loving and serving the people of Santa Marta.”

The couple graduated from Baxter Institute in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where they prepared for ministry across the Spanish-speaking world. Peralta was set to serve as a teacher at a new Christian school the mission team plans to launch in Santa Marta.

Gaby Medrano, a friend from Baxter Institute, recalled Peralta’s energy and love for her family. “I will always remember Vale for her energy, her love for her family, her joy that she would pass on to others,” Medrano said.

Medrano also remembered Peralta’s humor and the love of Christ that united them. “She knew how to be family,” Medrano wrote in a social media tribute.

Church members held a memorial service for Peralta in Colombia on Wednesday. Believers across Latin America continue to mourn the loss of a young woman remembered for her faithful service and deep love for Christ.

Christian Exodus Accelerates From Historic West Bank Town

Published

on

Faith Facts

  • Taybeh, the last entirely Christian town in the West Bank, has lost ten percent of its residents in just three years.
  • Local believers report repeated attacks on homes and property by radical settlers.
  • Church leaders warn that continued violence threatens the survival of ancient Christian communities in the Holy Land.

Once a thriving center of Christian life, Taybeh now faces an alarming population drain. Families are packing up and leaving after a string of violent incidents that local residents blame on nearby settler groups.

Church leaders say the attacks have intensified since 2021. Stones hurled at homes, fields set ablaze, and intimidation at checkpoints have become regular occurrences for the town’s shrinking Christian population.

“Our young people see no future here if the violence continues,”

one local pastor told reporters. The constant fear has pushed many families to seek safety abroad or in safer areas inside Israel.

Christian leaders across denominations are calling for urgent prayer and international attention. They fear that without intervention, the town that once hosted Jesus will soon stand empty of the faithful who have lived there for generations.

European Riots Reveal Internal Threat to Western Culture

Published

on

Faith Facts

  • Western civilization was built on the foundation of Judeo-Christian values that shaped law, liberty, and moral order.
  • Scripture teaches that a house divided against itself cannot stand, warning nations of the danger when internal conflict replaces unity under God.
  • Christian teaching calls believers to be salt and light, preserving truth and righteousness in a culture drifting from its moral roots.

The riots now sweeping across Europe like some foul contagion demonstrate that Western culture is under attack, and that the enemy is within.

These outbreaks of violence expose a deeper spiritual and cultural crisis that threatens the very foundations of free societies.

When lawlessness replaces order and mob rule replaces reasoned debate, the biblical warning about a people without vision rings true.

“If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.”

Nations built on Christian principles now face internal forces that reject those very principles while demanding the benefits they produced.

The unrest reveals what happens when faith, family, and freedom are undermined by ideologies that place self and grievance above truth and responsibility.

“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

Without a return to the moral framework that once sustained the West, further decline appears inevitable.
